The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the creation of an Office of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to strengthen its relationship with the agriculture sector. Rod Snyder, Regan’s senior advisor for agriculture, who has held an advisory position since 2021, will be in charge of the office.
The office aims to ensure agricultural and rural stakeholders have a seat at the table. This will be a space for the EPA and USDA to ensure they hear and resolve differences between their agencies. The National Corn Growers Association expressed satisfaction with the new office and the commitment of the administration and EPA to ensure the health, sustainability, and environmental soundness of America’s food supply.
