At AgroTech Noire we believe climate change and feeding a growing world population are two pressing issues that are on a collision course, we need brilliant minds across the globe to think about how we can avoid a catastrophe. But our focus is on promoting black agriculture and innovators to help find timely solutions to these issues.

Under hostile circumstances, African Americans have played critical role in the development of the United States into the economic powerhouse it is today. Unfortunately, with a dark history and continued social unrests along racial lines, we often forget the untapped potential of young African American minds.

With that in mind, the world is facing a food crisis. Droughts and floods are wreaking havoc and acutely impacting people in developing countries. The World Food Program (WFP) is forecasting the largest food crisis in modern history in its Hunger Hotspots Report.

Technology and innovation can help us seek a faster transition to sustainability and organizations like AgLaunch are leading the way in finding and scaling startups; they are brining entrepreneurs and farmers together.

Silicon Valley, government agencies, and organizations like AgLaunch need to invest in and recruit African American farmers and entrepreneurs to help come up with solutions and generate wealth within the black communities in the U.S.
