By the end of October 2023, Georgia is scheduled to start selling medicinal cannabis products at independent pharmacies, potentially increasing access and making Georgia the first state in the country to legalize it. Botanical Sciences and Trulieve, Georgia’s two state-based manufacturers, currently run seven dispensaries.
In accordance with Georgian law, they are also permitted to sell their goods in independent pharmacies. Products made from medical cannabis must be listed on the state’s Low THC Oil Registry in order to be used. On Friday, Southwest Georgia is slated to host the first low-THC pharmaceutical dispensary dispensing inspection.
